Mac Letterbox

Mac Mail is the default mail client found on Macs and is pretty widely used. As standard, the email preview pane is located below message list.

In other mail clients (including Microsoft Entourage and Mozilla Thunderbird......as well as Outlook for those ex Windows users that have made the switch) it seems that a preview pane that sits to the right of the message list is both desirable and popular.

To meet this desire, Aaron Harnly has developed a plugin for Apple Mail that rearranges the interface into three vertical columns:

- Folder Lists
- Message List
- Preview Pane

The layout really takes advantage of the widescreen aspect on the MacBook Pro. I downloaded it recently, and haven't even considered switching back to the old layout.....

You can download the plugin for Apple Mail at Aaron's site
